A famous shot that stuck with me for a long time now is the burning of the pilots plane from the movie Dunkirk, directed by Christopher Nolan in 2017. The shot is taken after hours of dogfighting, air battle between military aircrafts, and the pilot did his job protecting the stranded soldiers. He crash lands and burns his plane so it doesn't fall into enemy hands. The scene works by showing an exhausted pilot who is watching his aircraft burn. It is like a Viking sendoff and shows emotional value of the plane. To be honest the film shouldn't be rendered or shot different. Christopher Nolan shot this scene perfectly. This shot resonates with me because this is one of the first British film my family and I watched together in a movie theater.
